Dr. Tara Guthrie, BSc. DC
Dr. Guthrie has over two decades of experience treating all calibre of athletes, from the weekend warrior, to the ultramarathoner and professional dancer. She is certified and experienced in a range of myofascial release techniques, sports injury rehabilitation, and performance enhancement strategies, including Active Release Technique, Graston Technique, and Kinesiotaping.
Historically, she has worked closely with a number of athletes and sports teams, including the Alberta Ballet Company, the Calgary National Rhythmic Gymnastics club, the School of Alberta Ballet, and has volunteered and treated a myriad of local and travelling events and companies, including various travelling dance troups, such as Marie Chounard (Montreal) Crystal Pite,Kidd Pivot (Vancouver), and has treated acting cast members from The Phantom of The Opera when they toured through Calgary. She was privileged to be able to accompany the Alberta Ballet in their 2007 tour to China,

The techniques that have allowed her to work with these high end athletes can be significantly effective for any person suffering from general aches and pains, new and old injuries, and problems that don't seem to be improving with time.

Dr. Guthrie is dedicated to increasing her profession's standards in providing a patient focused, multidisciplinary approach to care.
She is a longstanding examiner for the Canadian Chiropractic Examination Board, and active member for the College of Chiropractors of Alberta.

Dr. Guthrie sits on both the Alberta College of Chiropractors Competency Committee and Practice Review Board.
She is part of the council that is committed to ensuring that Alberta chiropractic practice guidelines and bi-laws are both patient focused and safety driven.
